Lotus

Nelumbo"Charming lips" is one kind of bowl lotus, which could grow and also bloom in small flowerpot. The flowers shape is ball-like, its petals show pink tip and white base with some light yellow, not pure white, and the numbers also much more than usual cultivar. I can't find the former info page again because I saw it about 2 years ago, but if my memory is right, the page said this variety can amount to 250 petals. First day the flowers bloomed in early morning, and gradually closed after 8:00 am. The 3rd pic was taken at 11:00 am, and you can see the shape changing when comparing two other ones taken in early morning. Its carpel usually has abnormal function for pollination, so not easy to seed.
